How do I get to Civita di Bagnoregio?
Civita di Bagnoregio is located in central Italy in the northern region of Lazio, about 100 km north of Rome. The easiest and most convenient way to reach the village is by car, however, access in to the village itself is by foot only via a 300m pedestrian bridge. Cars are required to be parked in the public parking area at the bottom of the bridge. Details on parking will be provided in your pre arrival email welcome pack. Alternatively, you could catch a train service to the nearby town of Orvieto and then take a taxi to Civita di Bagnoregio . The journey from Orvieto by taxi is approximately 25 Kms

Is parking available?
Civita di Bagnoregio is a pedestrian only village. Access to the village is by a 300m pedestrian bridge. Public parking is available before you arrive at the bridge. Details on parking will be provided in your pre arrival email welcome pack.

Do I need to buy a ticket to enter the village?
The public is required to pay a €5 entrance fee to go into Civita. Guests of Flaminivs, however, are not required to by the entrance fee to the village. Guests of Flaminivs should report to the ticket office to provide them with your Flaminivs accommodation details and dates so you are not charged.

How do I get my luggage up to the village?
During certain hours of the day, there is a tractor service which will be able to transport your luggage up the bridge to the village. This service is complimentary for guests of Flaminivs on arrival and departure. Details on hours of operation will be provide in your pre arrival email welcome pack.

What are check in and out times ?
Check in between 2:00 pm and 5: pm. Check out between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm

What are the options for breakfast?
Flaminivs is self-catering, so you will be able to make your own breakfast if you wish. However you will need to pre purchase your requirements as there are no food shops in Civita. A small supermarket, butchery, bakery, and other facilities are available in nearby, Bagnoregio.

Alternatively, we can include an (Italian) breakfast consisting of a pastry and coffee which you can eat at the local bar in Civita. This will need to be requested prior to your arrival.

What shops are available in the village?
Civita has a few small gift shops that provide a selection of novelty souvenirs and gift items. Aqua Civita, in the Piazza San Donato, have a lovely array of hand-crafted perfumes, creams, shampoos, lip balms, diffusers etc . The bar and a few other shops sell a variety of wines, beers, dried pasta, lentils, preserves, olive oil and other condiments. There is a small shop that sells Prosciutto, Salami, cheeses, and bread. Also in the Piazza San Donato, there is a pannini shop open mainly on weekends that sells roast pork/salami/sausage sandwiches. Please be aware that not all shops are open every day. Opening times are varied depending on the day of the week and the season. Nearby, Bagnoregio has a range of grocery stores, bakeries, a supermarket, hardware store, banks etc.

How do I get my shopping up to the village?
If you have shopping or any other goods that you would like transported up the bridge to the village, you can use the tractor service which operates daily. There is a small charge for this service which is payable directly to the tractor driver. Hours of operation do vary depending on the which day of the week and the season. Tractor times can be confirmed at the bridge ticket office.

What restaurants are there in Civita?
Civita has a variety of restaurants, bars and eateries to choose from. Please see our recommendations under “Places to eat” on the Civita di Bagnoregio page. During peak summer months most will be open during the day, especially weekends, and many at night too. We recommend booking if possible. At other times of the year, not all restaurants are open all of the time, especially during week nights, so it is best to check with them beforehand. Alternatively, there are a number of restaurants in neighbouring Bagnoregio, Lubriano, Bolsena, Montefiascone, and Orvieto. Again, we recommend booking.

Whilst we love all animals, unfortunately Flaminivs is not conducive to pets, so unfortunately no pets are allowed.
